Privacy Policy

This policy explains how QuanTuring Inc. ("we", "us") collects, processes and uses your personal data on quanturing.ai and in our services, including QuanBrand and QuanCog. Where a provision differs by service, that difference is marked in the text. We act in accordance with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and related regulations.

What we do not collect: we do not collect your credit card number, bank account number or passwords — payment is handled by a third-party payment provider, and card numbers neither pass through nor are stored in our systems. We also do not access any third party's back-end systems (for example, your competitors'); competitive assessment uses public information only.

About QuanCog knowledge base content: documents you upload belong to you. We process that content solely to provide retrieval and answer generation, and do not make it available to other customers or to third parties, other than the processors listed in section 4 that are necessary to provide the service.

2. Purposes and legal bases

  • Providing the service: running brand visibility health checks and subscription tracking, producing reports, and sending scorecards and notifications.
  • Performing the contract and billing: confirming subscriptions, collecting fees, issuing electronic invoices, and handling cancellations and refunds.
  • Customer service: responding to your enquiries and complaints.
  • Service improvement and statistical analysis: understanding how the website and services are used, in aggregated and de-identified form.
  • Legal compliance: retaining records required by tax, accounting and other laws.

The legal bases are: necessity for performance of our contract with you, your consent (for example, marketing communications and optional account authorisations), and compliance with legal obligations.

3. What we will not do

  • We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
  • We do not use your data for purposes outside those listed in this policy, unless we obtain your separate consent or are required to by law.
  • We do not disclose your data to your competitors; equally, other customers cannot see your data.

Some of these providers are located outside the Republic of China (for example, in the United States). We considered their security measures when selecting them; cross-border transfers are handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

In addition, we may disclose data to the extent necessary where required by law or lawfully requested by judicial or administrative authorities.

5. Retention periods

  • Free health check requests and reports: retained for 2 years from the request date, then deleted or de-identified.
  • Service data and tracking records during a subscription: retained for the duration of the subscription.
  • Transaction, invoice and consent records: retained for 5 years as required by tax and commercial accounting law.
  • Website analytics data: retained according to our Google Analytics configuration, for at most 14 months.

What happens after cancellation or termination

Once you cancel your subscription or the service is terminated:

  • We stop collecting further data about you, and access to your workspace or service interface stops immediately.
  • Your service data — including historical reports and, for QuanCog, the documents you uploaded, the text segments and vector indexes derived from them, accounts, member lists and conversation records — is retained for 90 days from the termination date so that you can request an export or restore the service, and is then deleted.
  • Enterprise customers may agree a different retention period in a service agreement, in which case the agreement prevails.
  • You may also write to us at any time after termination to request earlier deletion, which we will action as soon as possible within the limits of our statutory retention duties.
  • Transaction, invoice and consent records that must be retained by law are excepted and are kept for the statutory periods above.

6. Your rights

Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may exercise the following rights in respect of the personal data we hold:

  • Enquire about or request to review it
  • Request a copy
  • Request supplementation or correction
  • Request that we cease collecting, processing or using it
  • Request deletion

To exercise these rights, email ask@quanturing.ai with enough information for us to verify your identity. We respond within 15 business days of receiving your request; where necessary we may extend that period and will explain why. We are entitled by law to charge necessary costs, but ordinarily do not.

Providing personal data is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the data we need (for example, your brand name and email address), we will not be able to provide the corresponding service.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Necessary cookies: to keep the site working and to remember your language preference.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics (GA4, measurement ID G-4FSPYBKR4L), to understand how the site is used.

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop that collection. Disabling cookies may affect some features.

The site also uses sessionStorage to record how you first arrived (for example, ad source or referring site) so that we can understand where customers come from. That information expires when you close the browser tab.

8. Data security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, a content security policy, and the selection and supervision of third-party providers. Transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed absolutely secure, and we cannot accept absolute liability for risks not attributable to us.

9. Minors

This service is intended for businesses and is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if we discover that we have, we delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy and will publish the amended version and its effective date on this page. We notify existing customers by email of material changes affecting your rights.

This policy is published in Traditional Chinese, English and Japanese. Each version is a complete statement of how we handle personal data, and you may rely on the version you are reading. Our operations are established in Taiwan and this policy is issued under the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China; where a question of legal interpretation arises between versions, the Traditional Chinese text is the one filed and governing. This does not limit any right described above, in any language.
